Stoked to welcome the editor of Payback, A Knight’s Tale, The Kingdom and all your favorite action films… to the show.
Not only Kevin just plain awesome, he know’s the craft like no other. It’s wonderful to talk chop with him here on In the Cut and we were super fortunate that he came by to share his thoughts on working with people like Peter Berg, and John Woo amond many others.
You can’t help but learn something sitting down and talking with Kevin. So enjoy this one… we’re almost done with season 1 of In the Cut – only one more to go – and that’s part 2 of this interview.
So lets rock and roll with Mr. Kevin Stitt!
On what kind of an Editor you are:
They want to classify you into human conditions; but it’s all a human conditions and it’s all part of the story telling bag of tricks.
Brian Helgeland’s version of Payback:
He didn’t get the money. The dog gets killed. You’re not if he kills the girl. And, you’re not sure if lives. And evidently you can not make a studio movie with those four aspects in it.
