1) Use a List:
Big ideas first… smaller ideas second. The list has value because it forces the brain to come up with #2 and #3…
2) Write often:
It was Stephen King who said that writers do two things every day. They write a lot and they read a lot.
And from the guru of motivation himself, Mr. Tony Robbins… the act of exercising creates more energy. Energy begets energy.
Creativity begets creativity
3) Don’t be afraid to let good ideas go:
A good idea is followed by more good ideas. Let the good ideas go in favour of the better ideas.
As “they” say, don’t listen to your first or second, or even third or fourth idea… the fifth idea… maybe then you are onto something.
